The Black Egrets' logo was changed from red to black, and every single art piece, including concept art, had the BE armbands removed. The changes were inevitably going to make their way to SG2E whether people liked them or not. If you've been following Skullgirls Mobile (which most people wouldn't bother doing anyway) you'd know that back in 2020 they changed Parasoul's palettes containing armbands, didn't matter if they were red or black. For the record, I'm not a nazi, so don't get any wrong ideas here. Next, I'm going to be talking about the Black Egrets. If Cerebella was almost butt booty naked, I wouldn't complain, but it's just unnecessary sanitization to me. Nobody complains about him showing skin because 1. Just look at Goku getting his shirts ripped every now and then. Because, y'know, clothes get shredded like crazy in those kinds of fights. Have you SEEN how Feng's back is bent? In Eliza's story mode, the scene where Cerebella's clothes got a little ripped weren't even sexual enough to justify the changes, at worst it was just a little exposed skin showing. I think that these changes were pointless considering that those parts of Double and Beowulf's stories are still something you wouldn't want your parents walking in on anyway. I'm going into this from a semi-neutral standpoint.ĭouble, Eliza, and Beowulf's story modes had slight alterations to make them look slightly less "lewd". This is gonna be a long review, and you shouldn't expect me to completely hate the changes, but don't expect me to fully agree with them either. I'll be going over the changes I dislike from least to most. I just think that changing the story mode art and the concept art was silly. I couldn't give less of a damn about Filia's panty shots getting "censored" (the censorship in question is turning her panties black LOL) because I never cared for them. They're still in the game alongside tons of cleavage, so you can still goon to that stuff if you like. So if I like looking through the compendium, why am I giving this a thumbs down? That's because I don't agree with the alterations to the art. I enjoy looking through each individual character's frames, because they each have a unique personality that tells you everything you need to know about them. This is a solid way to experience the gallery of Skullgirls.
